Our Perspective
on Learning and Development serves as our guiding
light in selecting the content we publish, presenting materials to
our customers, and developing our organization.
- We believe
Reading and Language Arts development must begin and grow in a
highly nurturing environment that is culturally and linguistically
relevant.
|
- We
know
that a child’s imagination
should be stimulated through activities and resources that are developmentally
appropriate and come from both parents and educators.
|
- We
strive
to create materials
that aim to
inspire young and adult minds to want to read and explore new
territories in their literary and professional development.

| Who We Are |
SIKANA Publishing is a company founded by educators for educators. We are dedicated to serving the education community with developmentally appropriate materials that drive academic progress.
The foundation of our work is depth of experience strengthened by breadth of skill in the classroom and the publishing environment. We combine educational expertise with effectiveness of editorial and production processes to generate materials that surpass all industry standards and meet the direct needs of educators and their students.
Our perspective on education requires that we focus on content that we know best. Narrowing our efforts to development of Reading and Language Arts content ensures that our materials reflect current classroom practice and are easily implemented at the appropriate grades.
Our assessment materials provide a strong bridge to the achievement of progress in knowledge and ability. Students and educators can rely on the content of our
standards-based materials to help build critical reading, vocabulary, and writing skills. Students of English As A Second Language also benefit from specifically structured reading materials that allow for cognitively accurate language acquisition. The linguistic, ethnic,
cultural, and economic realities of our society are appropriately presented through bias-free language, in visually appealing formats.
